We sell templates, not a tool, so your resume never reaches us: you fill it in on your own computer. All we see is what an order needs, like your name and email, and the emails you send us.
Who is responsible
Vesper Paper is run by Refine Edge, owned by Saurabh Kumar Singh, New Delhi, India. We decide how the personal data described here is used, which makes us the data controller (or "data fiduciary" under India's data protection law). For anything about your data, write to hello@vesperpaper.com.
What we collect and why
When you buy a template
Our checkout partner Polar collects your payment details, which we never see. Polar shares with us what we need to run the order: your name, email address, country, the product, the price and the order date. We use this to deliver your files, answer questions about your order, handle refunds and keep the sales records that tax law requires.
When you write to us
We keep your email address, your message and anything you attach, so we can reply and help you.
When you visit the site
Our host, Cloudflare, processes your IP address and basic technical details to deliver the pages and to protect the site from attacks. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It sets no cookies, doesn't build a profile of you and gives us only totals, such as how many people opened a page.
What we don't do
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, we don't have user accounts, and we don't sell or rent your data to anyone. We don't send marketing emails. If we start a newsletter, it will only be for people who sign up for it.
Our reasons under the law
We use order data because we need it to sell you the template and to meet tax and accounting rules. We use support emails because you asked us for help. We use security and visit data because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the site safe and knowing which pages are useful. Under India's law, we rely on your consent where the law needs it, and you can withdraw it by writing to us.
Who else handles your data
Polar Software, Inc. (USA) runs the checkout as the merchant of record. It handles your payment and order under its own privacy policy.
Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) hosts the site, counts visits and forwards our email.
Google (Gmail) stores the emails you send us.
This means your data may be handled in the United States and in India. Polar and Cloudflare protect data that leaves the EU or the UK with standard contractual clauses, and Google does so under its own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as Indian tax law requires us to keep sales records, and then deleted. Support emails are deleted three years after the conversation ends. Cloudflare keeps its technical logs only for a short time.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, to correct it or bring it up to date, or to delete it when we no longer need it. You can also withdraw consent you gave, object to how we use your data, or ask for a copy to take elsewhere. If you can't act for yourself, you can name someone to do so for you.
To use any of these rights, email hello@vesperpaper.com, from the address you used if it is about an order. We reply within 30 days. We may need to keep some order records even after you ask, because the law requires them.
Complaints
If you aren't happy with how we handled your data, write to us first at hello@vesperpaper.com. We will look into it and reply within 30 days.
If that doesn't resolve it, you can complain to a data protection authority. In India that is the Data Protection Board of India. In the EU it is the authority in your country, and in the UK it is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Children
Our templates are for adults applying for jobs. We don't knowingly sell to or collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change how we use personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
